SFRIDO
SFRIDO is an artful peeler designed by Valerio Sommela at Alessi. It’s been selected to sell in the MoMA store. Considering the cursive shape of the peeler, I think it was a shame to be covered in an insipid black box, which was a normal rectangle box with graphics and photograph. An artful object in the art store should have an artful package. I redesigned the packaging using transparent materials to show the product directly instead of a photograph. I created the triangle shape and diagonal base to give an angle where we’re eye-level when it’s on the shelf.
