/ About the project

To launch the Swoosh 1, their first podiatrist-approved baby shoe, Nike and Kids Foot Locker created their first baby-friendly training ground, inspired by the shoe’s materials.

The buildout is made with materials from Swoosh 1, the new shoe from Nike designed for babies’ first steps. The space is designed so babies can practice walking while being safely supported by Swoosh 1 innovation. Parents and their little ones will be immersed in the technology of the shoe, interacting with various touchpoints that highlight the shoe’s four main materials – proprietary Flyknit, chenille knit, TPU, and velcro.

In addition to the physical buildout, Nike and Kids Foot Locker are releasing a special AR Instagram filter, with animations powered by babies’ walking movements. Parents can launch this filter at the training ground and watch the augmented reality magic come to life as they film their little ones walking around the event.

Nike is also giving away limited edition training mats, inspired by Swoosh 1 technology. The first 50 customers who purchase Swoosh 1 on the event’s launch day will be one of the few people in the world to own this exclusive Nike training mat.
